# Your profile & preferred language

> How to update your name, photo, email, and preferred language in Account Settings.

## Opening Account Settings

Select your avatar in the top corner of me\&you, then choose **Account Settings**. Open the **Profile** tab.

## Name and photo

Update your **first name**, **last name**, or **profile picture** (select **Change image** to upload a new one, up to 5MB). When you make a change, a bar appears at the bottom with **Revert changes** and **Confirm** — select **Confirm** to save.

<Warning>
  If you close Account Settings with unsaved changes, we'll ask you to confirm before losing them.
</Warning>

## Changing your email

Select **Change** next to your email, then enter and confirm your new address, and select **Confirm change**. For security, we send a confirmation link to **both** your old and new email addresses — you need to click the link in each one before the change takes effect.

## Preferred language

Choose from English, Français, Deutsch, Español, or Italiano. This changes two things at once:

* The language of the me\&you interface, right away.
* The language of every email we send you — invitations, reminders, and receipts.

<Tip>
  If you and your partner speak different languages, each of you can pick your own preferred language — it's a personal setting, not a wedding-wide one.
</Tip>
