# Arranging a carpool

> How to offer or request a ride to the wedding through the guest portal.

If the couple has turned on carpools, you can offer other guests a ride, or find one yourself — handy if the venue is a bit out of the way.

## Offering a ride

  <Step title="Open your guest portal">
    Find the **Carpools** section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Offer a ride">
    Add how many seats you have available, and your departure and return times and addresses.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for requests">
    Other guests will be able to see your ride and request a seat.
  </Step>

## Requesting a ride

Browse the available rides — you'll see the driver's name, contact details, and how many seats are still free — then select **Request a ride** on the one that works for you.

<Tip>
  If you're driving, you'll get an email whenever someone requests a seat, with a one-click way to approve or decline — no need to check the app.
